ATEC Interns

Thompson Turner is very excited to have Zach Knopp and Jeff Henry, students at Applied Technology Education Campus (ATEC), work as registered youth apprentices on our Camden Elementary School project. The apprenticeships are the first for the Kershaw County School District in almost 20 years. This apprenticeship program combines a high school curriculum and career and technology training for the students while providing Thompson Turner with an opportunity to mold and shape potential future employees. Zach and Jeff Work on site four days a week and attend their residential construction class the other day to review classwork and consult with their instructor who monitors their progress for grading purposes. “We have been very pleased with the guys,” says Bradley Holeman, Project Manager for Thompson Turner. “They have shown an eagerness to learn and are doing a great job.” Pictured left to right: Bradley Holeman, Zach Knopp, and Jeff Henry
