Facility Construction

Thompson Turner Construction excels in delivering the construction of public use and government facilities in a straightforward manner with the least possible impact on normal operations. We work with municipalities to make sure the scope of the project is clearly defined while keeping budget, schedule constraints, and safety in mind. From judicial centers to parking garages, museums to convention centers, Thompson Turner has completed some of the most recognizable facilities in the state.

Though we have success in completing these facilities from the ground up, we also excel in providing a phased approach for renovations and additions to these existing facilities. Our quality control measures and attention to detail serve to complement these challenging interior projects.

Clarendon County Speculative Building

Thompson Turner Construction was hired by Clarendon County to provide design-build services for the new 50,000 SF speculative building, designed for expansion to 200,000 SF.

Clarendon County DSS Renovation

Manning, SC

Thompson Turner Construction was selected to complete the renovation to the Clarendon County Department of Social Services and Morgue. The facility includes office support spaces, waiting area, climate controlled and secure morgue and a back service entrance to facilitate daily operations.

CMRTA

Columbia, SC

The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA) Facility was a design-build project competed in 2008. Thompson Turner Construction was responsible for the construction of the 48,500 SF Administration and Service Facility that included administrative offices, operations and dispatch offices and ten maintenance bays.

Park Street Parking Garage​

Columbia, SC

Thompson Turner Construction was hired by the City of Columbia to build the new multi-deck parking garage located in downtown Columbia. The Park Street Garage offers parking for the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, Hilton Garden Hotel and convenient parking in the growing Vista district.

Timmonsville Community Center & EMS

Timmonsville, SC

McMillan Pazdan Smith and Thompson Turner Construction were asked to provide design services for the Town of Timmonsville’s new community center and EMS. These projects were designed with the goal to fill the need for a community center and additional EMS facility for the town. We were able to successfully design two buildings while staying within budgetary confinements.
